South Side man faces gun charges after arrest

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said police found a loaded .25-caliber semi-automaic handgun Thursday in the car of a man pulled over for having expired license plates.

Brandon Rozier, 30, of East Evergreen Avenue, is in the Mahoning County jail on a charge of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle. He is expected to be arraigned later today in municipal court.

Rozier’s car was pulled over about 5 p.m. at Market Street and East Delason Avenue on the South Side for expired plates and it was found that Rozier has two warrants from municipal court. He was arrested.

When police searched his car before it was towed, the gun was found under a seat, reports said.
