Canfield Christian Church, 123 S. Broad St., Canfield, will offer free Lenten breakfasts from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. A variety menu options will be offered along with pancakes, eggs, toast, french toast and sausage. Donations will be accepted. Take your Bible for a short study on the theme of “Focus.”

FRIDAY

American Legion Post 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will host a dinner from 3 to 7 p.m. Meals feature a choice of haddock, chicken or shrimp with fries, coleslaw and a roll for $10.50. Pirogi or an extra piece of fish are $4.50, and a child’s dinner is $5. Meals are carryout or eat-in. Beverages will be available. Call 330-654-5630. This is the last dinner of the season.

Argus Lodge 545, 5050 Shields Road, Canfield, will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the fellowship hall in the Lodge. Menu includes fish or chicken tenders with choice of french fries, haluski or macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, bread, coffee or soft drink and dessert. Event is open to the public and proceeds will benefit Masonic charities. Tickets available at the door at $12 for adults and $6 for children age 9 and under. Beaver Creek Sportsman Club, 14480 Washingtonville Road, will offer beer-battered haddock or shrimp dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Cost for adults is $11 and $6 for children age 10 and under. Dinners include fresh-cut fries, coleslaw and choice of green beans or corn. An extra fillet (with dinner purchase) is $5 and shrimp a la carte (approximately 16 pieces) is $6. Boy Scout Troop 71 will host its 54th annual Good Friday All-You-Can-Eat Fish Dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at Western Reserve High School, 13850 W. Akron-Canfield Road in Berlin Center. Cost is $12 for adults, $6 for children age 6 to 12 and children age 5 and under are free. Dessert is limited to one per person. Dine in or take out available. Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1655 S. Raccoon Road, Austintown, will be the site for fish dinners from 4 to 8 p.m. Menu includes baked or fried fish dinners and sandwiches, salad or coleslaw, vegetable, rolls and butter, coffee or tea and one side. Sides available are haluski, macaroni and cheese, pirogi or baked potato. Cost is $12 for adults and children age 6 and under eat for free with purchase of an adult meal. Fish sandwiches are $5.75. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Kent Elks Lodge 1377, 2265 Erie St., Ravenna, will host an all-you-can-eat Polish buffet from 5 to 9 p.m. Menu items include three varieties of homemade pirogi, cabbage and noodles, potato pancakes, kielbasa and sauerkraut, salad bar and more. Cost is $12 for adults and $6 for children 12 and under. There will be a cash bar. Take-out menu available.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, 220 N. Walnut St., Youngstown, will host a fish dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dinners are dine-in or carryout and include fried or baked fish, choice of rice pilaf, french fries, macaroni and cheese, haluski or coleslaw and soft beverages or coffee. St. Nicholas Great Hall, 762 Fifth St., Struthers, will host a pasta fagioli and haluski takeout only sale from noon to 4 p.m. or until sold out. Springfield Station 21 Firefighter’s Association, 3989 E. Middletown Road, New Springfield, will host a fish fry. Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave, Youngstown, is hosting its annual Easter candy sale. Those interested in purchasing candy can visit the church on from 10 a.m. to noon to see and select items, or call Louise at 330-550-0696 to make an appointment. The sale features homemade eggs with the following flavors: crispy, creamy coconut, peanut, pretzel or peanut butter, s’mores and turtles. Cost is $1 per egg or 11 for $10. Decorated chocolate suckers and solid chocolate Easter rabbits, standing crosses, lambs, sitting bunnies and ducks (with hats for boys or girls) also will be available at various prices. Each of the larger pieces are hand decorated.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will offer a breakfast buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. . All-you-can-eat brunch is available for a donation. Menu will include eggs, pancakes, French toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, peppers and mushrooms, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, is taking orders for homemade cream of chicken on a biscuit dinners April 28. St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St. New Middletown, will have a pirogi sale Friday. The cost is $6 per dozen. Potato, cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi are available. John’s Breakfast will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 8 at St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 state Route 422, Pulaski, Pa. Menu includes french toast, sweet cheese filling , buttemilk and buckwheat pancakes, with a choice of maple or apple syrup, scrambled eggs, eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries, bacon, sausage ham toast, fresh cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk. Cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner fundraiser from noon to 4 p.m. April 8. in Fellowship Hall. The homemade dinner includes sauce, meatballs, salad, Italian bread, coffee/tea and homemade dessert. Take out will be available. Cost for adults is $8.75 at door ($8 in advance); $5 for children under 12 and free for children under 3. Proceeds will help fund the MLC community garden. Sts. Peter and Paul Social Hall, 421 Covington St., will host a spaghetti dinner for the Deputy John “Sonny” Litch Memorial Scholarship Fund from noon to 3 p.m. April 29. The event will feature a basket auction, lottery tree, TV raffle and a 50-50 raffle. Takeout will be available. Cost is $8 and $4 for children 12 and under. No tickets will be sold at the door. This scholarship is open to high school and college students of Croatian and Hungarian descent and any student going into law enforcement. Youngstown Saxon Club, 710 S. Meridian Road, will host its 42nd annual President’s Benefit Goulash Dinner at 6 p.m. April 14. Dinner is open to the public at 6 with dinner to begin at 6:30.
