SOCIETY DIGEST | TPN to host job fair

The second annual spring job fair, organized by Taft Promise Neighborhood and its partners on TPN’s Jobs & Economy Council, will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at Metro Assembly, 2530 South Ave. Employers seeking applicants include: Comfort Keepers, Mercy Health, Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corporation, City of Youngstown Department of Parks and Recreation, Compass Family Services, Callos, The Enclave at YSU, MPW Industrial Services, Home Care at Callos, Safehouse Ministries, Youngstown City School District, Happy Campers Day Care, TLM Residential Services, and American Maintenance Services.

Eight employment-resource groups also will be available: MYCAP, Community Legal Aid Services, TDDS, Veteran’s Outreach, Ohio Means Jobs/MCTA, MCCTC, the Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County, and Eastern Gateway’s TRIO Education Opportunity Centers. Staff attorneys and paralegals from Community Legal Aid Services will assist job seekers who have legal barriers finding jobs.
