Staff to participate in training program

AUSTINTOWN

Austintown school students are off Monday, but staff and administration will be training for an A.L.I.C.E. (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) drill. Training will be conducted by members of the Austintown Police Department and will be the third training session. The drill is to provide staff and administration a controlled environment for all to participate in following the district’s protocol for a critical incident.

When the training is completed, the officers bring everyone together to critique the incident and discuss where improvements can be made.
