Eastern Gateway Sweeps Doubleheader

SPRINGFIELD

The Eastern Gateway Gators (7-3, 3-1 Ohio Community College Athletic Conference) swept a doubleheader Saturday from Clark State Community College, 13-4 and 5-0 for their sixth win their last seven outings.

In the opener, Nick Kubala picked up the win while Doug Painter led the hitting attack with three hits and three RBIs.

In the nightcap, Mark Herron, Hayden Kristophel and Kurcon each had two hits with Colton Esposito picking the mound win, Luciano earned the save.
