BOARDMAN

Representatives of Nancy Mosser Casting will be at the Holiday Inn, 7410 South Ave., on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. to register talent for future films that will be shot in the Youngstown area.

Those who would like to sign up to be considered as an actor or an extra in a film are asked to show up at any point during the three-hour period. There is no charge to attend the event, which will take place in the hotel’s west ballroom.

Actors should bring a head shot and a resume. A photographer will be present for those who do not have a head shot.

Those who cannot make it Saturday can also register at MosserCasting.com (click on Talent Registration).

Nancy Mosser Casting, which has offices in Pittsburgh and Cleveland, is working with the Youngstown Film Commission to provide talent.

Mosser will be available to answer questions from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, after the registration period.

Fred D’Amico, director of the YFC, said the group is working on several films that will be shot in the Mahoning Valley in the coming months. D’Amico will be at Saturday’s event to greet guests from 11 a.m. to noon.

The YFC will also present a background extra seminar March 31 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., also at the Holiday Inn. For information or to register, go to youngstownfilmcommission.com. The fee is $25.
