School to offer drug prevention program

AUSTINTOWN

Austintown Local Schools, in partnership with On Demand Drug Testing & Work Solutions, will offer the Drugs Destroying Futures program from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday in the high school auditorium. In the Mahoning Valley alone, there were 104 unintentional drug overdose deaths in 2017.

Dr. Drew Edwards, expert in addictive disease and behavioral medicine, will talk to parents about engaging in conversation, learning to identify warning signs and discovering preventative programs to protect their child’s future. Parents also will have the opportunity to ask questions. This event is free.
