Boardman Glenwood Junior High School PTA is hosting its annual co-ed student tournament fundraiser.
Championship games will be played on March 22 at 6 p.m. at the Boardman Glenwood Junior High School gym, located at 7635 Glenwood Ave. in Boardman. As an added bonus, an exhibition match between Boardman teachers and Boardman police will also take place on March 22. The community is welcome to attend. Admission is $3.
The initial eliminations will take place on March 20 at 4 p.m. Ten teams are registered to participate: five seventh-grade teams and five eighth-grade teams. The top two teams will play in the championship.
Special thanks are given to Danielle Siembida, physical education instructor and volleyball coach for Boardman Schools, for her extra help organizing the event. Special thanks are also given to Gary Ludt who will officiate the championship games. He has been a long-time supporter of this annual event.
