Bike restoration to aid teacher’s cancer battle
Ian Gentile, left, and Seth Lee, two eighth-grade students from Scott Davis’ career-based intervention class at West Branch Middle School, have been working to restore a 1972 Trail Horse GTO-100 mini bike. The idea came about after fellow teacher Jen Smith was diagnosed with breast cancer. The bike, valued at $1,500, will be raffled off at the Festival of the Arts on April 27. Raffle tickets are $5 each and can be purchased by calling 330-938-4436 or emailing scott.davis@wbwarriors.org. Tickets also may be purchased at the school. All proceeds will be donated to Smith for her treatment. The winner does not need to be present.
