West Branch students chosen for OSU Honors Band

Three students from West Branch Middle School were honored recently with the opportunity to participate in the Ohio State University Middle School Honors Band Festival. The students, above, from left, are Samantha Tubbs, trombone; Ryan Irwin, tuba; and Ella Scofinsky, oboe. OSU selected 385 students from 135 middle schools out of 900 individual nominations from across three states to participate in the event. The students took part in one of four 90-piece concert bands: two seventh-grade and two eighth-grade.
