YSU baseball team drops opener at Liberty
LYNCHBURG, VA.
The Youngstown State baseball team dropped an 16-0 decision to Liberty at Liberty Baseball Stadium in Lynchburg, Va. on Tuesday.
Five different Penguins recorded hits in the game. Freshman infielder Jeff Wehler went 2 for 4 with a stolen base and Trey Bridis doubled and walked.
Web Charles, Drew Dickerson, Zach Lopatka and Blaze Glenn each had a single for the Penguins.
YSU (1-9) and Liberty (7-5) are scheduled to play again at 3 p.m. today.
