LISBON

Lepper Library, 303 E. Lincoln Way, will offer one-on-one computer help every Monday in March from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The library also will host an adult crafting event Monday at 6 p.m. Participants will make a pallet sign. A Writer’s Group meeting will take place March 10 at 1 p.m. Call 330-424-3117 to register for any or all events.

Beer and Wine taste set at Stambaugh

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Area Grocers Association will host its 13th annual Beer & Wine Tasting from 6 to 9 p.m. March 10 at Stambaugh Auditorium.

There will be more than 100 wines, 50 microbrews and gourmet food. Registration forms can be found at www.yapatrust.org. For information, call Wendy Rieser at 614-448-1621.

Library to host Leprechaun Lollapalooza

POLAND

The Poland Library will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with an all-day Leprechaun Lollapalooza March 10. A magic show will take place at 10 a.m. followed by the Parade of Leprechauns. Participants are encouraged to dress festively. Each child who enters the parade will receive an entry for a chance to win a book of Irish fairy tales.

After the parade, there will be a story time offered in the large meeting room. The event also will include a green pickle eating and pickle drawing contest in the bookstore at 11:30 a.m. as well as a scavenger hunt for children in grades six and under. Burke Irish dancers will perform at 12:30 p.m. Irish food will be on sale at Kravitz Deli.

Menu includes corned beef and cabbage dinners, stout stew, corned beef and reuben sandwiches and Bailey’s cheesecake. The Friends Bookstore will offer a special Luck of the Irish Book Sale March 10 and 17. Discount coins and special promotions will be available.

Disabilities board will host luncheon

As part of the Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month celebrations, the Mahoning County Board of Developmental Disabilities will host the seventh annual Veterans of the Valley luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 20 at St. Nicholas Church social hall, 764 Fifth St., to celebrate the accomplishments of those who have fought for freedom. MCBDD will honor one of its veterans with special recognition.

Lunch will be catered by Lariccia’s Italian Foods at no cost to veterans who make reservations at 330-797-2902 by March 13. For information, contact George Gabriel at 330-797-2869 or Paul Iden at 330-797-3051.
