Stefanos celebrate 70th anniversary

Alfred Sr. and Rose Stefano of Lowellville celebrated their 70th anniversary Oct. 21, 2017, with a family gathering at home.

The couple are the parents of Diane Perry of Poland; Alfred Stefano Jr. (Sherry) of Callahan, Fla.; Alane Kling (Gary) of Youngstown; Annette Iudiciani of Lowellville; and William Stefano of Boardman. They also have 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Stefano and the former Rose Gerak were married Oct. 21, 1947, at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.

Mrs. Stefano worked as secretary to the mayor of Lowellville before retiring.

Mr. Stefano worked for P&LE Railroad and then as a police officer for Lowellville Police Department before retiring. He also served in the U.S. Army.
