Pig Day Celebration
When: Saturday, 10 a.m. to noon
What: Annually March 1 is National Pig Day. We will recognize these porkers today with a special Pig Day celebration filled with story, crafts and other pig-related fun. Visit Penelope our pot-belly pig here at the MetroParks Farm.

Sugar Shack Shindig
When: Saturday, 1-3 p.m.
What: In 1951, the park planted a grove of maple trees. The Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association saw the potential and started a maple project in 2013. Come out to its Sugar Shack to see what it takes to make our favorite sugary breakfast treat.

Jewels of Winter

What: Orchids are the jewels of the plant world, full of color. Let them dazzle you with their brilliance and splendor. Bring your camera as there will be plenty of amazing flowers to photograph.

Garden Art
When: March 12, 1-3 p.m.
What: Learn how easy it is to bring some of that sunshine into your winter days. We will cover at least three methods on how to press flowers as well as the best flowers for pressing. Participants will make three simple cards, bookmarks or table lanterns using pressed flowers.
Where: OSU Extension Office, 490 S. Broad St., Canfield.
