v Cirque du Soleil “Crystal,” 4 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.: The first Cirque show on ice ($42 to $133) makes for a spectacular sight at Covelli Centre, Youngstown; ticketmaster.com or 800-745-3000.

v Ribs-N-Rock festival, noon to 11 p.m.: Mouth-watering ribs and a full day of rock bands, culminating with Sponge at 8 p.m. ($6 admission, free for children 12 and under). It’s in the parking lot of Southern Park Mall in Boardman.

"Taken” (8 p.m., NBC): With Hart (Jennifer Beals) in grave danger, the team must find their own way to stop Ramsey (Tahmoh Penikett) before his plan to assassinate a senator starts a war with international terrorists.

"Ransom” (9 p.m., CBS): Eric’s archnemesis, Damian Delaine, threatens to turn Evie into a murderer unless Eric helps him negotiate a high-stakes business deal for a new cryptocurrency that could destabilize the world economy.

Carol Burnett, Cher gowns on the block

LOS ANGELES

Gowns and ensembles worn by Carol Burnett, Cher and Raquel Welch are going up on the auction block.

The clothing was created by 78-year-old fashion and costume designer Bob Mackie, who has been honored for his work in motion pictures, television and the fashion industry.

Highlights include two gowns that were worn by Burnett and a pair of Punch and Judy costumes that she and Joel Grey wore on her CBS program. There’s a hand-painted silk ensemble that Cher wore to the 1974 Academy Awards, and a gown worn by Raquel Welch.

The exhibition will be displayed aboard the ocean liner Queen Mary 2 on an Aug. 19 trans-Atlantic crossing before the auction takes place in Los Angeles at Julien’s on Nov. 17.

Commemorating Harvey Firestone

COLUMBIANA

Members of the Firestone family will join residents on July 6 to mark the 150th anniversary of the birth of Harvey Firestone, the Columbiana native who founded the Firestone Tire and Rubber Co.

A wreathlaying ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m.at Firestone Cemetery. There will also be a groundbreaking ceremony at pavilion 4 in Firestone Park to launch the restoration of Mirror Lake in the park, which was given to the town by Firestone in 1934.
