Teen sex charges

STRUTHERS

A tow-truck driver from Struthers accused of committing sex crimes against teenagers is back in the Mahoning Valley again and behind bars, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

Alex Bugno, 30, of Clingan Road in Poland, was booked into the Mahoning County jail Wednesday after being brought back from Buffalo, N.Y., where he was arrested earlier this month while allegedly attempting to renew his passport, which would violate conditions of his bond.

Bugno is scheduled to go on trial in August on 34 charges including pandering obscenity involving a minor, compelling prostitution and importuning. State law defines importuning as soliciting another person for sex.

Crash closes road

GOSHEN

A three-car crash in the township closed a portion of state Route 165 early Friday evening, according to 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol spokesman said a rear wheel came off the Jeep involved, and the vehicle traveled into the other lane, hitting a silver car. A white car behind the silver car did not stop in time, getting caught in the crash as well.

Three people were taken to the hospital, including a minor who had a cut. The crash is under investigation.
