Jefferses will celebrate 60th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Merle Jeffers will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary June 7 with family.

The couple’s children are Mark (Vonnie) Jeffers of Surfside Beach, SC; and Karen Divito of Poland. Their five grandchildren; Christopher Jeffers, Taylor (Courtney) Jeffers, Kayla Divito, Cameron Divito and Madeline Jeffers, complete the family.

Mr. Jeffers married the former Mary Clyborn on June 7, 1958, at the Champion Christian Church.

Mrs. Jeffers was a teacher in the Champion Local School District for 30 years before retiring.

Mr. Jeffers founded and owned the Jeffers Realty Co. Inc., Champion, from 1963 to 1996.

The couple have been traveling the world for the passed 20 years and have been to Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Morocco, Senegal, Argentina and Chile.

The couple are lifetime members of Champion Christian Church.
