ASSOCIATIONS

Mill Creek Chapter of ABWA will meet July 10 at the Georgeanne Parker Pavilion in Boardman Park. Networking will take place at 6 p.m. followed by a picnic-style dinner at 6:30. CLUBS

First Friday Club of Greater Youngstown Luncheon Speaker Series will present Sheila E. McGinn Ph.D. on July 12 at The Georgetown in Boardman. Mahoning Valley Chapter of Polka Dot Powerhouse will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 10 at The Upstairs Restaurant, 4500 Mahoning Ave., Austintown. Positive women interested in business connections can attend their first meeting at no cost. The cost of lunch is from a limited menu. Friendly Squares will host a “Hot Dog” square dance from 7:30 to 10 p.m. July 14 at the Niles Scope Center, 14 E. State St., Niles. Gene Hammond and Neil Harner will be the callers, and Frankie Hammond will be calling line dances between the tips. This will be a high/low dance with tips for new and experienced dancers. rELIGIOUS GROUPS

Warren Women’s Connection, an affiliate of Stonecroft Ministries, will host a luncheon titled “To The Moon & Back” from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 9 at DiLucia’s Banquet Center, 2610 Elm Road NE. There will be a presentation on the “The Neil Armstrong Project.” Inspirational speaker is Sue Simmons, and the topic is “The Treadmill of Life – Where are you going?” The musical guest is 9-year-old Claire Jewett. Children 9 and older also are welcome at the luncheon. Cost is $5 for children, $10 for first-time ladies and $13 for all others. Youngstown South Christian Women’s Connection will meet for the “The Star Spangled Banner Waves” luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. July 11 at Avion on the Water Banquet Center, 2177 W. Western Reserve Road, Canfield. The guest speaker will be Bess Stettler of Goshen, Ind., who will present “There’s No Place Like Home.” Genevieve’s Kitchen will be featured, and music will be presented by Rachel Joy. SOCIEties

Niles Historical Society will meet for its regular membership meeting at 10 a.m. July 7 in the Westenfield Room at the Ward-Thomas Museum. Plans will be discussed for the upcoming Heritage Day on Aug. 4.

SUPPORT GROUPS

Alzheimer Network Family Support Groups will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Zion Reformed United church of Christ, 260 Main St., Greenville; at 10 a.m. Thursday at Children’s Rehabilitation, 855 Howland-Wilson Rod, Howland; and noon Saturday at Sunrise Senior Living, 335 W. NAMI Mahoning Valley offers support and education to people and families dealing with serious mental illness.
