Bowers Group Insurance awards scholarships

CANFIELD

Prior to the merger with Farmers National Bank of Canfield, Bowers Group Insurance established an annual $10,000 Lakeview High School scholarship to help graduates in their studies post-high school.

While community service and participation in the high school’s programs are relevant, there are no set standards for the scholarship other than the desire to help those in need to get post-secondary education.

Over five years, this scholarship has been awarded to 28 Lakeview graduates. Students have used the award to take every path available from obtaining a CDL truck driving license, a commercial diesel mechanic licensing to local and major college degrees in business, education and healthcare.

The 2018 winners of the Bowers Scholarship Fund are Noah Craciun, Brianna Krumpe and Alexis Rygalski, all of whom plan to attend Youngstown State University. For information, contact Amber Wallace at 330-702-8427.
