The Crenshaws celebrate golden anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. William A. Crenshaw Sr. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary by renewing their vows surrounded by family and friends at Wedgewood Evangelical Church. Tammy Hale and the couple’s grandchildren, nieces and cousins hosted the event.

The couple’s children are Orrin (Theresa) Crenshaw; William (Tracey) Crenshaw; Anthony (Trylia) Crenshaw, all of Columbus; and Adrienne (Tito) Crenshaw of Youngstown. Eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren complete their family.

Mr. Crenshaw married the former Geraldine L. Smith on June 1, 1968, at the home of Mrs. Crenshaw’s uncle and aunt, Henry and Geraldine Smith, in Youngstown.

Mrs. Crenshaw worked for Packard Electric and was in food service at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. She is a member of the Veterans’ of Foreign Wars Post 6488 Auxiliary and New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mr. Crenshaw was a chipper and grinder for Falcon Foundry in Lowellville until he retired in 2000. He is a U.S. Army veteran and a member of Phillips Chapel Church of God in Christ.
