A local pulmonologist, Dr. Manuel Bautista, wants to celebrate his birthday with the entire community. The doctor has chosen three charities to be the beneficiaries of his Summer Bash event, slated for July 29 from 3-10 p.m. at Magic Tree Pub and Eatery in Boardman.
The three charities that will benefit from the celebration are: The Walnut Grove, Inspiring Minds and the Piggyback Foundation of Youngstown. All three charities were chosen because they help children and are small, locally-based organizations.
The event requests a $20 donation to attend. The donation yields party favors, snacks, birthday cake, sparklers, karaoke, 25 Chinese auction tickets, as well as cornhole and other party games.
In addition to food, games, raffles and a Chinese auction, live entertainment is scheduled. The event opens with piano man Todd Cutshaw, then features local band Spy Convention, followed by salsa dancing and a live DJ.
As Summer Bash benefits local youth, children are welcome to attend the party.
