Lincoln Park Clean Up Day

YOUNGSTOWN

St. Angela Merici Church will host Lincoln Park Clean Up Work Day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. The park is located in the backyard of the church, 397 S. Jackson St. Volunteers are needed to clean up litter, remove brush and perform other tasks to improve the park. Tools and gloves are provided, but participants are welcome to bring their own. Lunch will be provided. Anyone planning to attend is asked to call 330-747-6080 or 330-747-2547 to ensure enough food is available. Donations of bottled water also are being accepted. If unable to volunteer, call the number above to learn of other ways to help.

Club will meet for lunch Friday

The Youngstown Kiwanis Club will meet for lunch at noon today at the Downtown YMCA, 17 N. Champion St. Tiffany Sokol, housing director for the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. will be the guest speaker. She also serves on the New Penn Community Lending Advisory Board and on the board of directors of Hope for Renewal and Economic Action Group.

Church to host conference Monday

The International Brotherhood of Christian Men in conjunction with Pastors Wayne L. Penny Sr. and Dieldra L. Penny will host “The Prophetic Unveiling Conference” at 5 p.m. Saturday for community prayer and at 10 a.m. Monday for the conference at Triedstone Baptist Church, 2045 Jacobs Road.

Library to host instrument seminar

LISBON

Lepper Library, 303 E. Lincoln Way, will host a musical instrument seminar at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, presented by Dave Byers of DC Music Store in East Liverpool. Byers will discuss an overview of music and showcase different types of instruments that will be available to try out. Reservations must be made by calling 330-424-3117.
