Greatest Golfer dad letter

The following letter came in today from a former Greatest Golfer dad after his name appeared in a Father's Day column about golf.

Todd,

Thanks for the recognition! I’m sitting here at work in Spring Hill Tennessee fighting back tears. It’s amazing how much I miss those days.

I still read every article and check the scores for the junior tourney, although we really only know a couple of the players. It was just what we did for so many years. I’ll always remember the GG days as some of the best of our lives.

Now Alice and I travel back and forth from Nashville weekends in the fall and spring to see Kaci play at Wooster, but it’s not the same.

The day after we dropped Kaci off at Wooster for the first time, I came home from work and sat on the couch. Alice asked me what was wrong and I replied “I’m not sure what I’m supposed to do now”.

It goes by in the blink of an eye.

Best regards, Scott
