20th annual Washinko camp set for June 26-27

COLUMBIANA

The 20th annual Rich Washinko/Columbiana County QB Camp will take place June 26-27 at Firestone Park Stadium.

A session for those in grades 5-8 will run from 8 a.m. to noon on June 26. A session for those in grades 9-12 will take place from 8 a.m. to noon on June 27.

There is no cost, but donations can be made to the Richard Washinko Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Salem Community Foundation, P.O. Box 553, Salem, Ohio 44460.

Washinko, who died last year, was a veteran head coach and offensive coordinator in the Mahoning Valley. He was an All-Ohio quarterback and University of Pittsburgh recruit.
