Y'town firefighters put out small fire on West Side

YOUNGSTOWN — City firefighters have extinguished a small fire on the West Side.

Crews were called about 12:50 p.m. to a Wesley Avenue home where a mattress was on fire. It caused slight damage to the home.

There were no injuries.

A fire department spokesman said smoking appears to be the cause.
