Annual Mooney football camp June 25-26

YOUNGSTOWN

Cardinal Mooney High School will host its 18th annual Camp of Champions on June 25-26 at the Cardinal Mooney Football Complex.

This two-day event is for students in grades 3-8.

The non-contact camp features instruction in offensive and defensive fundamentals and hands-on drills to apply the skills taught by the camp staff.

Participants are grouped by age for drills and will receive a camp T-shirt, a Cardinal ball and pizza party.

Serving as coaches for the 2018 Camp of Champions will be: Bo Pelini, Youngstown State University head coach; Mark Stoops, University of Kentucky head football coach; Mike Tomczak, former Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears quarterback; Bernie Kosar, former Cleveland Browns quarterback; and Gregg Pruitt, former Browns running back.

Special guest clinicians will be: Vince Marrow, Kentucky assistant coach; Reno Ferri, University of Syracuse assistant coach; Frank Colaprete, Wooster head coach; Michael Zordich, University of Michigan assistant coach; Kyle McCarthy, former Notre Dame player; and YSU assistant coaches.
