City firefighters save dog from burning house


YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said firefighters late Saturday saved a dog from a 48 E. Evergreen Ave. home that was on fire.

The home was heavily engulfed in flames when crews arrived and the homeowner told firefighters his dog was still inside, reports said.

Reports said firefighters got into the home and found the dog in the basement.

Damage is listed at $8,220, a total loss.
