UPDATE | Multiple agencies responded to Canfield blaze
CANFIELD β Multiple fire departments responded to a Palmyra Road barn fire.
Don Hutchison, Canfield Fire Department chief, said Thursday afternoon the fire departments responded to a barn fire with a fuel tank.
The structure was fully engulfed, he said.
With the help of a dry hydrant and a pond in the front yard of the structure, firefighters put out the fire, more than 800 feet from the road.
The structure, a supply barn, was a total loss with only some of the equipment rescued.
No one was injured, but the homeowner present during the time of the fire, Hutchison said.
The incident is under investigation.
βIt was a lot of training for anyone today,β Hutchison said.
