Two jailed after Y'town bracelet brawl

YOUNGSTOWN — Two women are in the Mahoning County jail on felonious assault charges after a large brawl Monday at a 110 E. Wood St. apartment complex that started over an argument about a bracelet.

Thelma Banks of Detroit Avenue and Sandra Gray, 57, of Forestview Drive, are expected to be arraigned Wednesday in municipal court.

Police were called about 8:55 p.m. for the fight and saw a woman bleeding profusely who they later learned was stabbed twice and hit with a tire jack.

Between 20 and 30 people were fighting and most of them were drunk, reports said, and they resisted efforts by police to break up the fight.

Most of those involved in the brawl are relatives, reports said.
