Police warn of bear seen near Cortland

CORTLAND — The Cortland Police Department posted a photo on its Facebook page Sunday of a black bear seen near Willow Park in the city.

The posting said numerous people had reported seeing the bear.

The department advised citizens to not chase the animal "as it will eventually move along."
