City gets $150K grant for office renovation
YOUNGSTOWN — The Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. was awarded a $150,000 grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation to complete the renovation of 2246 Glenwood Ave., a vacant commercial property.
Mayor Jamael Tito Brown announced the awarding of the grant today.
“As mayor, we will focus one street, one block and one neighborhood at a time,” he said. “We will continue to fight to improve the quality of life for all residents in the city of Youngstown.”
The property is a former Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley warehouse and office building. The renovations will modernize the 18,410-square-foot structure into several “turn-key” spaces for neighborhood-serving small businesses.
