v Our Lady of Mount Carmel Festival, 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.: One highlight of this annual festival ($4) near downtown Youngstown is the massive silent auction in the social hall. It’s on the parish grounds at 343 Via Mount Carmel, next to Choffin Career Center.

v Warren Greek Festival, 4 p.m. to midnight: This is one of the largest Greek festivals (free admission) in the state, with rides, ethnic food, games and entertainment. It’s at St. Demetrios Church, 3223 Atlantic St., Warren; warrengreekfest.com.

v “Jesus Christ Superstar,” 7 p.m.: Millennial Theatre Company is presenting the famed Andrew Lloyd-Webber rock opera ($12, $10 for senior citizens and students) at Crestview High School Performing Arts Center, 44100 Crestview Road, Columbiana; 800-838-3006.

v Jordan DePaul, 8 p.m.: The singer-songwriter, a Youngstown native, returns to town for a show at Suzie’s Dogs and Drafts, 32 N. Phelps St., downtown Youngstown.

“Whistleblower” (8 p.m., CBS): Tonight’s installment of this docu-series is titled “The Case Against Northrop.” It looks at the case brought by James Holzrichter, who thought he had landed his dream job working at the top military contractor. But once he moved from testing equipment to “product assurance” – ensuring that the company was properly billing the government for parts – he began to notice some disturbing trends.

Wizard weekend returns to village

VOLANT, PA.

Volant’s second annual WANDerful Wizarding Weekend (formerly Harry Potter Fest) will take place Saturday and Sunday throughout the village, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. both days. Last year’s event drew more than 5,000 visitors.

This year’s weekend will feature more activities and merchandise, and plenty of food and treats.

New this year is “MockTurn” Alley, a vendor’s market located in the field behind Special-Teas, Etc., featuring food, artisans and children’s activities. Families can also watch the first Potter film on the big screen.

Continuous shuttle service with onboard entertainment will also run from the parking lot of Wilmington Schools.

Summer Hookah at Nelson Ledges

GARRETTSVILLE

The annual Summer Hookah music festival, featuring two night with jam band Ekoostik Hookah, will take place Aug. 10-12 at Nelson Ledges Quarry Park. Also performing will be Sultans of Bing, Frenchi Tunes, Michelle Fincham, Odds and Ends and many more.

Admission is $70 ($55 presale) for Friday through Sunday, or $50 ($40 presale) for Saturday through Sunday (includes camping). Presale tickets are on sale at nlqp.com.
