The Femias are honored during a dinner party

Mr. and Mrs. Vincent Femia celebrated 50 years of marriage with friends and family June 8 at Avalon Squaw Creek Country Club. Nick and Stacey Femia of Canfield and Melissa and Charles Hess of Gilbert, Ariz., the couple’s children and their spouses, hosted the event.

The Femias’ five grandchildren, Ashley and Natalie Femia, and Marina, Giada and Alessia Hess, complete their family.

Mr. Femia and the former Sarah Egnozzi were married June 8, 1968, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica in Youngstown.

Mrs. Femia is a homemaker and briefly worked as a bookkeeper and secretary for the Jack Barnhart Agency in Youngstown.

Mr. Femia was a car repairman and truck driver for GATX Corp. in Masury and was part of the Teamsters Union of Youngstown until retiring in 2006. The couple are members of the Sons of Italy Lodge 2539 and St. Patrick Church in Hubbard.
