Koseks mark 60th anniversary at celebration

Celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary July 15 at a surprise gathering at AMVETS Post 44 in Struthers were Mr. and Mrs. Richard Kosek of Struthers.

The couple are the parents of Denise (Glen) Esposito of Poland and Rick (Sheila) Kosek of Atlanta. The Koseks’ grandchildren are Eric and Evan Esposito and Kendall, Nick and Courtney Kosek.

Mr. Kosek and the former Judith Adams were married July 19, 1958, at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.

She retired in 2000 from Kmart in Boardman, where she worked as a service-desk supervisor. She also worked as a self-employed hairdresser for 20 years. Mrs. Kosek enjoys sewing, quilting, needlework and flower arranging.

Mr. Kosek worked as a welder at GATX in Masury for 20 years and as a bus driver for Struthers City Schools from 1968 until retiring in 2013. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1958, and was stationed in Germany. Mr. Kosek is an avid Cleveland sports fan.

The couple are members of Christ Our Savior Parish - St. Nicholas Church in Struthers.
