Alcohol, drugs may have caused crashes

YOUNGSTOWN

Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers said the influence of drugs and/or alcohol may be a factor in several crashes Friday afternoon involving the same driver.

21 WFMJ-TV, the Vindicator’s broadcast partner, originally reported that Laqresha Sueme Womack, 42, was involved in five crashes throughout the day.

The first occurred on U.S. Route 224 in Canfield and she continued to hit cars as she traveled state Route 11 and Interstate 680 before a final crash into a utility pole on Market Street near Youngstown Community School.

There were no injuries. Womack has been charged with hit-skip, failure to control her vehicle, operating a vehicle under the influence and driving under suspension.
