Warren woman assaults man with ax, police report

A Warren woman, 26, was taken into custody after police said she assaulted her boyfriend in the head with an ax at Willow Lake pool and campground on Mahoning Avenue Northwest at 9:04 p.m. Friday.

Others grabbed the woman and held her down for police.

The male, 25, of Niles, was conscious and talking, a caller told the Trumbull County 911 center.

The victim was taken to St. Joseph Warren Hospital for treatment.

His condition was not available at press time.
