$12K in jewelry, coins reported stolen on S. Side

More than $12,000 worth of jewelry and coins were stolen during a burglary at a home in the 200 block of East Philadelphia Avenue on Friday morning.

The resident said the break-in occurred between 8:15 a.m. and 1:10 p.m.

The resident called several locations and discovered that a gas station had taken a silver dollar Friday morning, so police were going to follow up to determine whether the coin was one of the those stolen from the home.
