The wedding of Chrystin Ritter and Jonathan Rickert was solemnized July 14, 2017, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Basilica.

Monsignor Michael J. Cariglio officiated for the daughter of Chrys and Bill Ritter and son of Pam and David Rickert, all of Boardman.

A reception followed at Mr. Anthony’s Banquet Center in Boardman, and the couple departed for a honeymoon to Aruba. They reside in Boardman.

The bride wore a strapless ballgown embellished with blush-colored lace appliques.

Her sister, Julia Ritter, served as maid of honor, and matron of honor was another sister, Samantha Detec. Bridesmaid was Kate Marcum, the groom’s sister. They wore blush-colored gowns.

The bride’s niece, Mia Detec, was flower girl, and ring bearers were her nephew, P.J. Detec, and the groom’s nephews, Max and Miles Marcum and Marcus Rickert.

Ushers were Chris Marcum, the groom’s brother-in-law; Phillip Detec, the bride’s brother-in-law; and Zane Burbick, the groom’s nephew.

Mrs. Rickert earned a bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University and a master’s degree from the University of Akron. She is a speech-language pathologist with the Boardman Local School District.

The groom graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in human-resources management and is the human-resources manager at V&V Appliance Parts in Youngstown.
