Kent State University Trumbull continues to ensure a safe environment for its students. Only one physical altercation was reported in 2017. A total of 26 reports were made last year, with most being either a medical emergency or minor accident in the parking lot. KSU has been ranked one of the safest campuses in the country by the Council for Home Safety and Security, a national trade association. It also earned a place on the council’s 2017 top 10 list of Safest Colleges in America. According to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting and the National Center for Education Statistics, KSU ranks 11th on the list nationally, and among Ohio institutions, it ranks the safest.
