City Club hires project director

City Club of Cleveland is announcing the hiring of Lynnette Bilal as project director for the City Club of the Mahoning Valley and Bilal will begin taking on her new duties Friday.

She is a graduate of Youngstown State University and has 25 years of direct service, advocacy, project development and management experience. Most recently, she served as prevention coordinator for the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence, providing training and technical assistance to prevention and rape-crisis programs in Ohio.

CCMV is a project of The City Club of Cleveland, one of the nation’s oldest free-speech forums. During the past year, an advisory committee comprised of Mahoning Valley volunteers has been organizing CCMV forums on a variety of topics including climate change, public education, immigration and white supremacism. Bilal will be responsible for fundraising, marketing and media relations, and working in tandem with the advisory committee, executing forums on topics pertinent to the Mahoning Valley.
