Women’s club hosts Dr. Beelen

Youngstown Area Federation of Women’s Clubs recently gathered for a meeting at the Upstairs Restaurant. George Beelen, a Youngstown native and retired professor of history at Youngstown State University, was the guest speaker. Above, from left, are Catherine Campana, YAFWC president; Beelen; Kay Fuller, chairwoman; and Betty Cmil, first vice-president. Beelen also serves on the history society board of directors and presented his memories of Youngstown. Meetings will resume at noon March 22 at Cafe Capri for a party.
