“Community Connection” (Sunday at 6:30 a.m. on 21 WFMJ-TV and 11 a.m. on WBCB-TV): Dr. Peter Vande Kappelle, pediatric cardiologist, Akron Children’s Hospital, will join host Madonna Chism Pinkard to discuss the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women program and National Wear Red Day to encourage awareness of heart disease and heart issues.
Next, Neil Durbin and Heather Clayton Terry from Dominion Energy Ohio will discuss the winter heating season, Energy Share, Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and other programs designed to help with consumer gas bills. “A Conversation With Dee” (Sunday at 7:30 a.m. on WYTV-TV): Host Dee Crawford will talk with experts at the Ohio State University Extension Service in Mahoning County about their programming and how to become a volunteer naturalist for the agency.

Americana singers to play Kent Stage
KENT
Texas-born singer-songwriters James McMurtry and John Moreland will perform an evening of Americana music at The Kent Stage on March 22.
McMurtry is currently on tour opening for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit. Moreland, who made his network TV debut in 2016 on “Late Night with Stephen Colbert,” has had three of his songs featured on the “Sons of Anarchy” TV show.
Reserved seats are $35. The show begins at 8 p.m., with doors opening at 7 p.m.
