Marissa Carbon, Jonathan Pugh are engaged

Bob and Diane Carbon of Canfield are announcing the engagement of their daughter, Marissa Carbon, to Jonathan Pugh, both of Seven Fields, Pa. The prospective groom is a son of Gary and Laurie Pugh, also of Canfield.

The couple will be united in marriage during an open ceremony set for 2 p.m. April 14 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Basilica in Youngstown. A reception by invitation will take place that evening at The Vineyards at Pine Lake.

The bride-elect graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She is a registered nurse in the neonatal intensive care unit at Akron Children’s Hospital, Boardman Campus.

Mr. Pugh graduated from Point Park University in Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He also graduated from the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science and is a licensed funeral director with Devlin Funeral Home, Cranberry Township, Pa.
