Second annual ‘Dash for Cash’ is Saturday

YOUNGSTOWN

Youngstown Phantoms have partnered with Farmers National Bank and Dunkin Donuts for the second annual Dash for Cash that will take place during the first intermission (about 7:30 to 8 p.m.) of the Phantoms’ hockey game Saturday at the Covelli Centre. Teachers will be dashing for $3,500 to raise money for their schools.

Local teachers had the opportunity to submit essays on how they would use the money from Dash for Cash. Schools chosen were Jackson-Milton Elementary, Artmen Elementary, St. John Paul II Elementary, Boardman Glenwood Middle School, Lawrence County Career and Technical Center, Youngstown Academy of Excellence and Girard Intermediate.

Participating schools also are conducting group ticket fundraisers, where a portion of the proceeds will be used for the school. To order tickets, call 330-747-7825 and mention the school you are with to help with the fundraiser.

Saturday also is Scout night; all Scouts will receive a special $9 ticket, and the first 1,000 scouts will receive a free Phantoms Scout patch.
