THURSDAY

Christ the Good Shepherd Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will host Friday pirogi sales. Call in orders to 330-755-1316 Thursday and Friday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. with pickup from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday. Choose potato, kraut or prune pirogi at $6 per dozen. Pasta fagioli for $5 per quart and haluski with noodles for $4 per quart will be available for purchase every Friday from Feb. 16 through Lent.

Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for fresh potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9 to 11 a.m. or until sold out Thursday and at 10:30 a.m. Friday, if available, by calling 330-746-9528. Pick up will be from 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday. Lunches will be served Friday.

Lord of Life Church, 550 N. Broad St., Canfield, will offer drive-through chicken dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. . Menu includes chicken Parmesan, spaghetti, three-bean salad, roll with butter and cake. Cost is $9. Cash only. Proceeds will go toward ministry expenses. Patrons will receive $1 off the purchase price if a can of vegetables is given to donate to the Rescue Mission or other organization. St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, is selling potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $7 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

VFW Col. Louis J. Campbell Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.75. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. by calling 330-792-1005.

St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown, will sell potato and cheese pirogi. To order, call 330-799-0084 from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday and from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $7 a dozen. No containers are necessary. Walk-ins are welcome. Use the side entrance.

SATURDAY

Aut Mori Grotto will host its monthly AYCE pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to noon at the Grotto Hall, 563 N. Belle Vista Ave. Menu will include all-you-can-eat pancakes only, link sausage, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy and biscuits, potatoes, coffee and juice. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children under 12 and children under 3 eat for free. Proceeds benefit Grotto charities and building fund. For information, call Pudge at 330-720-2660. Carry outs are available, and the facility is handicap accessible.

Braceville United Methodist Church, off state Route 82, will serve a stuffed pork chop dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. or until sold out. Menu includes mashed potatoes, green beans, corn, coleslaw, applesauce, homemade desserts, bread, coffee, tea or punch. The cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children. Takeout will be available.

New Hope United Methodist Church, 21 Fairview Ave., Niles, will host a free community breakfast from 9 to 10:30 a.m. All are welcome.

North Lima Mennonite Church, 90 Mennonite Drive, will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast or brunch from 7 to 10 a.m. Donations are appreciated. Menu includes eggs, eggs with mushrooms and peppers, pancakes, french toast, sausage, potatoes, homemade pastries, sausage gravy and biscuits, coffee, orange juice and other beverages. Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, will host a creamed chicken on a biscuit takeout dinner from 3:30 to 6 p.m. . The menu also includes mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and dessert. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children under age 10.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will host a reverse raffle and spaghetti dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 per person and are available at the church office and at the door. Doors open at 5:30 and dinner will be served at 6:30 p.m.

SUNDAY

St. Charles Knights of Columbus are sponsoring a cavatelli and meatball dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at St. Charles Church, Boardman, in the Father Haidet Hall. The meal includes salad, bread and butter, cake and beverage for $10 for adults. Separate orders of meatballs and sauce will be available for $7. There also will be a basket auction and 50-50 raffle.

TAKING ORDERS

Holy Apostles Parish, St. Stephen of Hungary Church and Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Church are taking orders for stuffed cabbage. Cost is $25 per dozen and cabbage is packaged in a foil pan ready to reheat or freeze. Orders are due by Feb. 12, by calling Dorothy at 330-783-2252. Pickup is from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in the church social hall, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown.

Queen of the Holy Rosary Church, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna, is taking orders for an Ash Wednesday potato pirogi sale. Cost is $6 per dozen. To order, call 330-856-4204 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Deadline for orders is Feb. 9. Pickup is from noon to 5 p.m. Feb. 14, Ash Wednesday.

Smith Corners United Methodist Church, 3000 S. Canfield Niles Road, Austintown, is taking orders for vegetable soup. Cost is $6 per quart. Preorders are required by calling the church at 330-799-9390. Pickup will take place Friday and Saturday.

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will host a chicken noodle soup family-style dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Feb. 11. Menu includes choice of roast beef or chicken breast stuffed with ham, salad, dessert and coffee or tea. Cost is $15 per dinner. Takeouts are available. Menu includes french toast, sweet cheese filling, buttermilk and buckwheat pancakes with a choice of maple or peach syrup, and scrambled eggs or eggs scrambled with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries, bacon, sausage, ham, toast, fresh cinnamon rolls, hot and cold cereals, coffee, tea, juices and milk. St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will host a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Feb. 4 in the parish social hall. Menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread, dessert, and beverage. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children eight and under. Takeout will be available, and containers will be provided.

Sharon First United Methodist Church, 237 W. Silver St., will host a chicken pie dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Feb. 10. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Takeouts are available.

Sojourn to the Past will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 4 at Richard Brown United Methodist Church, 1205 Elm St. Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for children under 12.

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2799 Auxiliary, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will sponsor a homestyle breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 4. Menu includes eggs, hash browns, sausage, ham, pancakes, freedom toast and coffee or tea. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.
