A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

Jan. 17

Menacing: A 19-year-old Poland man said he was being threatened and stalked.

BOARDMAN

Jan. 11

Arrest: A traffic stop on Market Street resulted in the arrest of Edward Kimbrough Jr., 25, of East Midlothian Boulevard, Youngstown. Kimbrough was wanted on a Campbell warrant charging him with violating a court order.

Assault: A woman alleged that during an argument related to an air-conditioning unit in her Wolosyn Circle apartment, the accuser’s landlord pushed on her door, striking her with it. The woman had no apparent injuries, however.

Harassment: A worker for a Southern Park Mall store told officers a man who claimed to be the mall’s manager made several unwanted calls to her.

Theft: A 17-year-old Youngstown girl faced a felony-theft charge after being accused of stealing and making false returns on about $2,235 worth of merchandise at the J.C. Penney store in Southern Park Mall.

Burglary: A Brandon, Miss., man staying at a Tiffany Boulevard motel reported someone entered his room and removed a ring, a bracelet and miscellaneous food items.

Identity theft: Officers booked Neasha L. Taylor, 27, and Michael A. Faiola Jr., 33, both of Lynn Avenue, Poland, on charges of identity theft, misuse of a credit card and receiving stolen property, related to a Sept. 21, 2017, situation in which a Youngstown woman reported her purse stolen and that someone tried to use her credit card at several township locations.

Arrest: After pulling him over on Grover Drive, authorities took into custody Raheem A. Satterthwaite, 28, of East Boston Avenue, Youngstown, on charges of being a convicted felon with a firearm, obstructing official business and resisting arrest. Satterthwaite, who also was wanted on three township warrants, had a loaded revolver; he also refused to comply with police, they alleged.

Jan. 12

Assaults: Authorities responded to the 100 block of Carter Circle, where a tenant and a landlord each reported having been assaulted by the other. The landlord alleged the tenant had struck him with a hammer; the tenant alleged the landlord had struggled with him in an effort to get the tenant to sign a letter.

Burglary: To a residence in the 3800 block of Whipporwill Lane through a locked rear door. Nothing appeared to have been stolen, though police found blood throughout the home, presumably after the burglar had sustained injuries, a report showed.

Theft/forgery: The owner of Uptown Pizza, 6041 Market St., discovered a payroll check was cashed without authorization and that it contained his forged signature.

Misuse of a credit card: A woman found out that after having misplaced her purse at a South Avenue grocery store, someone later used her debit card in a fraudulent manner. The woman also realized $1,100 was removed from her account via automated teller machine withdrawals.

Arrest: Police picked up Robert J. Koby of Birch Trace Drive, Austintown, who was wanted on three counts of public indecency and one of possessing drug paraphernalia after an incident last June in which three employees with a Boardman-Poland Road gas station alleged Koby, 26, pulled down his pants and performed lewd acts in the business. Also, a scouring pad with burn marks indicative of drug use was in Koby’s vehicle, a report stated.

Theft: A Canfield man noticed a $2,000 gold diamond earring missing while he was in Southern Park Mall.

Jan. 13

Arrest: After receiving a report that someone had broken an apartment window, authorities charged Claude R. Westfall, 51, of Market Street, Boardman, with intimidation, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and obstructing official business. An intoxicated Westfall continually banged on his door, causing several disturbances; also, police had to use a stun gun to bring him into compliance, a report showed.

Citation: Police in the 7400 block of South Avenue pulled over and cited Karen E. Maley, 59, on a charge of operating a vehicle impaired. The Butler, Pa., woman registered a 0.136 blood-alcohol content, which exceeds Ohio’s 0.08 legal intoxication limit, a report said.

Menacing: An Afton Avenue woman alleged her former roommate made and sent a series of threatening and unwanted calls and text messages.

Attempted burglary: A rear window screen was damaged, evidently as someone tried to break into a home in the 60 block of Leighton Avenue.

Arrest: Rakeya L. Crafter, 26, was taken into custody after officers had pulled her over on Market Street. Crafter, of DuPont Street, Youngstown, was wanted on a bench warrant accusing her of failing to appear in Youngstown Municipal Court.

Theft: A woman reportedly stole a $6 bottle of hair dye from Hair Depot, 4026 Market St., then left in a tan Jeep Cherokee.

Theft: A man noticed his wallet missing from a room at a Market Street motel.

Domestic violence: A 16-year-old Boardman girl was charged with the crime after her mother alleged that during an argument about a set of car keys, the teen struck her three times in the back, which left several red marks.

Jan. 14

Theft: Robert S. Pavlov, 46, of Island Drive, Poland, was charged with knowingly failing to scan about $51 worth of merchandise while at Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Drugs: Authorities phone booked Sean D. McJunkin, 40, of Boardman, on a charge of possessing a drug-abuse instrument, related to a Sept. 6, 2017, drug overdose at his Romaine Avenue residence. McJunkin was found unconscious in his garage with a syringe under him, police alleged.

Vandalism: Someone did about $1,000 in damage to a rear tailgate on a company-owned truck that belongs to DeLucia Construction Inc., 7146 Vineland Place.

Jan. 15

Assault: A Mathews Road woman told officers her 13-year-old daughter was attacked and hit several times at Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A man and a woman reportedly stole from Walmart about $13 worth of items that included hand lotion.

Harassment: A worker with a Tiffany Boulevard motel reported a man made five calls that were sexual and obscene in nature.

Theft: A man reportedly took three food items from Family Dollar, 4030 Market St.

Menacing: A man in a Doral Drive parking lot alleged the driver of a snow-removal vehicle nearly struck him, then threatened to run over the accuser.

Identity theft: A Sugartree Drive man discovered that 64 unauthorized inquiries appeared on his credit report, including information regarding a mortgage on a home in Texas.

Theft: Two men reportedly removed an undisclosed sum of money from a tip jar at Wetzel’s Pretzels, 1300 Doral Drive.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 7400 block of Glenwood Avenue was found with all of its tires slashed. Damage came to $800.

Misuse of a credit card: An East Liverpool man found $561 worth of fraudulent credit-card charges after having left a Market Street restaurant.

Theft: A $20,000 trailer was stolen from a Boardman-Canfield Road auto-care business.

Drugs: While conducting a traffic stop on Market Street, police charged a 16-year-old Struthers girl with trafficking in drugs, drug abuse and criminal simulation after alleging a large bag of suspected marijuana, three individually wrapped bags of suspected marijuana, a digital scale and a phony $100 bill were found.

Theft: Dartanyen T. Helton, 21, and Katlyn J. Clemens, 22, both of Teegarden Road, Lisbon, were charged in the theft of $112 worth of toothpaste and other items from Walmart.

Jan. 16

Arrest: Ryan P. Rossi of Grover Drive, Boardman, surrendered on an inducing-panic charge after police had responded to a possible drug overdose Jan. 5 at his home and alleged Rossi, 34, admitted having injected heroin. He also faced a domestic-violence charge after his father alleged Rossi pushed him during an argument. The accuser was not injured, however, a report said.

Theft: A Youngstown woman reported her $200 cellphone stolen while at Southern Park Mall.

Theft: An Akron woman discovered three children’s socks and a shoe missing from her car while she was in the 7300 block of Market Street.

Arrest: While handling a vehicular crash at Southern Park Mall, officers took Nicoletta M. Spagnola, 31, into custody. Spagnola, who listed Struthers addresses on Ridgeway Street and Poland Avenue, was wanted on a Liberty Township warrant charging failure to appear in court.

Trespassing: A Rosewood Drive man reported discovering consistent sets of footprints in the snow, leading him to believe someone is trespassing on his property.

Theft: A man in his 30s or 40s reportedly fled after having stolen two cellphones from Dollar General, 4996 Market St.

Misuse of a credit card: A Youngstown woman learned that her debit card had been used at a Southern Park Mall store to make two unauthorized charges that totaled $484.
