“The Flash” (8 p.m., The CW): The speedy superhero drama returns from the winter break, which went by in a flash.

“Black-ish” (9 p.m., ABC): Dre is selected to run point on a new campaign focusing on “The Talk,” while Bow joins an online gorup of women for support.

“The Heroin Triangle” (9 p.m., A&E): This season of “Intervention” continues telling the interconnected stories of addicts and families sufferering at the hands of the opioid crisis.

Dinner theater by school’s choir

CANFIELD

The choral department of Canfield High School will present “100 Years of Broadway!,” a dinner-theater production, on Jan. 27 at the school on Cardinal Drive.

The dinner portion will begin at 6 p.m. with a VIP tasting event that will include a sampling from local restaurants. At 7:30 p.m., the shool choirs will perform a musical sampling of Broadway favorites. Participating will be the One Octave Higher Female Ensemble, the Chamber Ensemble and the Concert Choir, as well as many student soloists.

Faculty art exhibit at the McDonough

YOUNGSTOWN

The biennial exhibition of art department faculty at Youngstown State University, titled “Immersion,” will open Jan. 26 at the McDonough Museum of Art and run through March 2. An opening reception will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the museum, which is on Wick Avenue, on the YSU campus.

Several of the participating artists will give talks throughout the run of the exhibition. The schedule includes: Dragana Crnjak, Missy McCormick and Robert Twomey on Feb. 12 at 1 p.m.; Claudia Berlinski, Joy Christiansen Erb and Chris McCullough on Feb. 14 at 12 p.m.; and RJ Thompson on Feb. 21 at 12 p.m.

Wizardly World of Kent scheduled

The annual Wizardly World of Kent has been scheduled for July 28 in downtown Kent.

The event is an opportunity for wizard and magic fans of all ages to gather, compete in costume contests for kids and adults, and enjoy live music, crafts, potion classes, photo booths, vendors, face painting and more.

Many downtown businesses will participate, offering crafts, activities and special menu items in the spirit of the event. The Hometown Bank Plaza, Dan Smith Community Park and other public areas will be home to a variety of activities and entertainment throughout the day.
