UPDATE | Youngstown road crews clearing side streets today

YOUNGSTOWN — City plows were tied up on main streets Monday night and today clearing snow to get to the side streets, said Charles Shasho, deputy director of public works.

Shasho said he understands why people are upset the side streets haven’t been done, but the city is doing everything it can to keep snow off the main streets as a priority.

“We’re not sitting around. We have every available resource on the roads,” he said today.

Meanwhile, motorists on side streets are having a difficult time driving as they haven’t been plowed in a couple of days.
