‘Shark Tank’ returns to Struthers Middle School

A select group of eighth-grade students from Struthers Middle School were chosen to compete in a “Shark Tank” event that recently took place at the “Wildcat Cage” in front of a panel of judges. The project was on Sustainability, the overall goal being the research of soil types in a region and creating a farm-to-table restaurant. Judges included were Dr. Ron Iarussi, Mahoning County Educational Service Center Superintendent; Dave Vecchione, Struthers Middle School Principal; Phil Latessa, Struthers City Schools director of school improvement; and Peg Flynn, Green Team educator.
