STATE POLL

Poland, LaBrae and McDonald are in the Top 10 of their divisions in this week’s Associated Press poll of state teams. In Division II, Poland (11-0) are 10th with 28 points, four behind Cincinnati Indian Hill. The Bulldogs received one first-place vote. In Div. III, LaBrae is sixth with 84 points, one behind Oak Hill. The Vikings received one first-place vote. In. Div. IV, McDonald (9-1) has 133 points, good for third. The Blue Devils received two first-place votes.

Bri Modic sank five 3-pointers for 15 points to lead the Raiders (12-1) in the first Smithie Classic at Smithville High School. Also scoring in double figures were Izzy Lamparty with 14 and Samantha Patrone with 13. For Tuslaw, Majesta Sales led with 21 points.

SMITHVILLE

Serena Sammarone led the Cardinals with 19 points in the Smithville Classic game. Canfield outscored Orrville 26-21 in the final quarter to seal the win. Jill Baker scored 18 points while Grace Mangapora and Emerson Fletcher each scored 10. For Orrvile, Mikaila Carpenter led with 18 points.

Rittman 40, Western Reserve 30

SMITHVILLE

Alexis Hughes scored nine points and Laura Sigworth eight as the Blue Devils (11-4) participated in the Smithie Classic. Sigworth made six rebounds while Kennedy Miller made three assists. Hughes made three steals. Kali Sisouphann led Rittman with 12 points.
